25 drafts a month
About 1 a day on average, up to 10 requests a day
Post ideas follow your own niche: Starling looks for what is new in it, in news feeds, and cites the pages it used. Replies, quotes, rewrites and chat work on any post.
How drafts are counted
- A draft is used each time Starling returns a draft or an answer to you.
- If a request fails, even partway through, or you cancel it before anything is shown, nothing is used. If you stop one after its text has started to appear, it counts.
- Nothing is used when Starling holds a draft back after its own checks, advises you to wait instead of posting, or finds nothing to improve in your text.
- Allowances reset every month: on your billing date on a paid plan, and monthly from the day you verified your email on Free.
- There are no overage charges. When you run out, drafting pauses until your allowance resets or you upgrade.
- When you upgrade, you pay only the difference for the days left in this period, and get extra drafts in proportion to those days, as soon as the payment goes through.
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- If you cancel, you keep your paid plan until the end of the period, then your account moves to Free.
Each plan also has a fair-use limit on the AI processing cost of an account's requests in a period. If an account reaches it, drafting pauses until the allowance resets. It never adds charges.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, and card numbers never reach Starling's servers. Paid plans renew automatically each month until you cancel.
If a payment fails, your account page shows what to do. Update your payment method to keep your plan. If the problem is not fixed within a short grace period, the account moves to Free.
