Refund policy

Effective date: 6 November 2026

This policy explains how cancellations, plan changes and refunds work for Starling subscriptions sold by Gidion.

Cancelling

You can cancel a paid plan at any time from Billing. You keep your paid plan until the end of the period you have already paid for. After that your account moves to Free and you are not charged again.

Changing plans

  • Upgrades are charged straight away for the rest of the current period (a prorated amount), and the new plan applies once that payment goes through.
  • Downgrades take effect at the end of the current period. There is no charge for scheduling one, and you can undo it before it happens.

Usage and charges

Plans have a fixed monthly price. There are no overage charges. Requests that fail, even partway through, requests cancelled before anything is shown, and drafts Starling holds back after its own checks do not use your allowance.

Refunds

Starling is free during the beta, so there is nothing to refund. If a paid plan is added, its refund terms will be posted here before anyone can buy it.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.

Failed payments and disputes

If a renewal payment fails, you keep paid access for a short grace period while you update your payment method. If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us before disputing it with your bank; while a dispute is open, paid features on the account are paused.

How to ask for a refund

Email hellogidion@gmail.com from the address on your Starling account, with the date of the charge. Never send your password or full card number.
